16 (Sunday) - NATIONAL WOMEN'S FRIENDSHIP DAY

Mark your calendars now to celebrate on September 16th, the ninth annual National Women's Friendship Day, created by Kappa Delta Sorority for all women to help honor and recognize those special women and friends in our lives.

 


19 (Wednesday) - Pottery painting at Joe Picasso's. 7:00 p.m. Ft. Lauderdale.
Let’s kick off the KD season and celebrate National Women’s Friendship Day. Our regular meeting will begin promptly at 7:00 PM, and then the fun begins with pottery projects at 7:30 PM.  We will have 2 hours of studio time, so have ideas in mind.  The cost per person will be approximately $30.00 and you will have several pottery pieces to choose from.  Not an artist?  Please still join us for the meeting and then hang out to help others with their projects. 20 (Saturday) - Founders Day. Sterling Worth Cafe, 801 South University Drive, Plantation; 954-474-7738.

11:45 a.m.

Join your Kappa Delta sisters at Sterling Worth Cafe in Plantation to celebrate Founder’s Day.  Lunch will be $30.00. (please pay Jill L. no later than October 1st to reserve your seat or include your payment with your dues!)  White Rose, Emerald, and Diamond Circle members are our honored guests.  We will collect gift $5 or $10 certificates to Publix or Winn Dixie to donate to Kids In Distress for Thanksgiving.  If you cannot attend our luncheon, please consider mailing a gift certificate. 14 (Wednesday) - Make, Bake, and Grow. 6:30 p.m. Boca Raton.
Shop ‘till you drop at one of our most popular events! Bring a few dollars for pizza (a few more dollars to spend on great auction items) and your best crafts, plants or baked goods to be auctioned off.  All money raised is donated to the Children’s Hospital in Richmond, Virginia. 15 (Saturday) - Mother & Daughter Holiday Tea. 11:30am. Plantation.
All KDs including collegiates and alumnae, are invited to bring their Mothers and/or Daughters to enjoy the holiday season together. Please email Ft. Lauderdale AA's general mail

9 (Wednesday) - Happy Hour. The Cove, 1754 SE 3rd Court, Deerfield Beach, 954-421-9272. 5:30 – 7:00 pm

23 (Wednesday) - No Fuss Meals. 991 University Drive, Coral Springs (Across from Coral Square Mall),954-755-6325. 7:00 pm
Wouldn't it be nice to spend some time with your friends while checking off dinner planning, shopping and preparation from your long to-do list? This is the event for you!  Our regular meeting will begin promptly at 7:00 PM, after we’ll have plenty of time to experience this new trend in cooking.  You simply chose the meals you want, put them together in a few easy steps, freeze and enjoy them when you’re ready.  Meals serve 4-5 people for approximately $20/meal; that’s less than a drive-through.  Only cooking for one or two? KDs & Girl Scouts

Let’s help Plantation Park Elementary Girl Scouts earn their KD Badge and learn about lifelong friendships while supporting our local alumna and proud Principal, Julie Gittelman.

Our fifteenth annual Shamrock Luncheon and Silent Auction will benefit Prevent Child Abuse America and Kids in Distress. 3 (Monday) - International Badge Day.

The 26 member organizations of the National Panhellenic Conference (NPC) are celebrating International Badge Day, an annual event during which sorority women everywhere honor their Greek affiliations by wearing their badge or letters. Show your pride and wear your Kappa Delta badge today!



19 (Wednesday) - KD is for LIFE!  Cooper City;  7:00 pm
This month, we’ll be doing our “Book Exchange”.  Bring your favorite appetizer, salad, or dessert to share along with your previously read books and a few dollars to stock up on your summer reading. We will also be putting together care packages, wishing our Florida KD Collegiate Chapters success on their end of year exams.

WineStyles’ concept demystifies the typical wine tasting experience by categorizing wines by style - so, whether you’re bold, crisp or bubbly, you’re sure to find one    (or several) to suit your individual taste.  We will have fun learning as we sample 5-6 wines and enjoy light hors d’oeuvres.  Cost is $20/person and no obligation to purchase additional wines.
